Wave Street Studios brings people together with its free flowing indoor/outdoor urban garden setting. Our copper patio doors open to create a 3,300 sq’ indoor/outdoor party level with 3 restrooms and studio lighting and sound.
Enjoy relaxed conversation on the heated bench, or take in the succulent garden, waterfall and architecture. The tea room and rolling copper bar hosts chef assisted and self-serve buffets or passed hors d’oeuvres for a group of up to 150 people.
Dance the night away on our sprung dance floor and studio sound system.
In 1994 Rhett opened his own audio/video sound stage, The Media Room, in Pacific Grove Ca. He worked with partner Louis Castellani to produce multi-track audio and live-edited mini-dv video for over 130 bands. In 2001 Rhett designed and integrated a recording studio/retail store into the Eastwood Building for KRML Jazz and Blues Radio in Carmel. The partners put the station on the internet and broadcasted live jazz performances over the radio.
The Smith’s bought 774 Wave Street in 2003. Construction was completed in 2006 and Wave Street Studios opened to the public in 2008, after receiving a water credit transfer from the City of Monterey.
The studio is producing a high quality kundalini yoga program funded by online students and hosts teachers like Khenpo Karten Rinpoche, to connect with students worldwide.
